of the Council of Alfonso XIII, the Equilor Palace Estate is now a new
hotel, with four pseudo-towers on each corner of the same height as the
main building. The Parador is constructed in a rustic style with
a historic and monumental gate with a modernist touch. The estate

This Parador is situated
in a 17th Century stately home, previously the lovely mansion of the Barreda-Bracho
family, right in the square of Santillana del Mar. The town has been
declared a National Monument, whose origins go back to the 7th Century.
A grand entry hall leads you to welcoming and spacious public areas, with
wooden floors and traditional furniture and decor. The bedrooms are
